Before becoming a food photographer, Jan Wischnewski used to work as a chef among the 50 highest rated restaurants in Germany and he organized the catering for film productions and events. After stays abroad in the USA and the Caribbean he moved to Berlin and started writing recipes for Photocuisine and later on, for Stockfood. In the year of 2010 Jan started to combine cooking and photography and is author for over 30 cookbooks.

Jan mainly works with available light and he combines the beauty of his products with healthy, innovative and stylish recipes. His Berlin studio is the perfect workplace with a well equipped kitchen and professional camera equipment. Light pours through the large windows, creating an exceptional work environment. Together with a garden full of herbs, varieties of tomatoes and fruits it provides a flexible work place for any kind of shooting.
